How exam practice works

One simple weekly routine. Better answers, stronger exam technique, more marks.

1. Download the questions

Print them or open them on another device, then have a go independently.

2. Watch the walkthrough

Work through each question with me, pausing and rewinding whenever needed.

3. Improve every answer

Add corrections, key science and mark-winning phrases to the question sheet.

4. Build exam confidence

Repeat each week to strengthen knowledge, technique and confidence.

Knowing the science isn’t always enough

The difference between knowing it and scoring it is exam technique.

Students often know far more science than their exam answers show. They misread command words, leave out crucial detail or struggle to turn what they know into a structured response.

Weekly Exam Practice shows students how to:

  • Work out what each question is really asking
  • Identify the science needed to answer it
  • Structure clear, precise responses
  • Spot the details that turn an answer into marks

They don’t just see the correct answer. They see how to build it.

Expert teaching, not just an answer sheet

Each week, I choose questions that expose the mistakes students commonly make and the details examiners reward.

I’m Nicole Daniels, and I’ve spent more than a decade teaching GCSE Science. During every recording, I model the thinking behind a strong answer: how to interpret the question, select the relevant science and communicate it precisely.

Students don’t simply mark their work. They learn how to approach the next question better.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the membership?

Membership includes a new GCSE Science teaching session each week during term time, access to all previous lessons from the chosen programme, downloadable skeleton notes, completed annotated notes, bonus summaries and Purely Practice exam sessions.

The Full GCSE Membership includes both the Year 10 and Year 11 programmes.

Does my student have to attend live?

No. Every lesson is recorded and added to the members’ area, so students can complete it at a time that works for them.

Attending live can be brilliant for establishing a weekly routine, but many members use the recordings consistently and do extremely well.

How are the live lessons delivered?

Lessons are taught through Zoom Webinar. Students’ cameras and microphones remain off, but they can answer questions and ask for help using the chat.

What happens if we join after the programme has started?

You will receive immediate access to all previous lessons from your chosen programme. Students can catch up on relevant topics or begin with the current week’s lesson.

Are the lessons suitable for Combined and Triple/Seperate Science?

Yes. The weekly lessons follow AQA Combined Science Higher, but this core content is also studied by Triple Science students, so the membership is suitable for both routes.

Where a topic includes additional Triple-only content, I will endeavour to offer separate science lessons where possible. Members will receive discounted access to these additional sessions.

Are the lessons Higher or Foundation Tier?

Lessons generally focus on Higher Tier content unless stated otherwise. Occasional Foundation-focused lessons or resources will be clearly labelled.

Which year-group membership should I choose?

The year groups are a guide because schools teach GCSE Science topics in different orders.

Year 10 generally focuses on foundational Paper 1 content. Year 11 predominantly covers Paper 2 content before switching towards the papers students will sit during the examination season.

If you want the freedom to use lessons according to the topics being taught at school, choose the Full GCSE Membership.

What happens during school holidays?

New weekly teaching sessions are delivered during term time. Students can continue using the lessons and resources already available in their membership area during shorter school holidays.

Can I cancel the membership?

Yes. There is no academic-year commitment, and you can cancel your membership at any time.

After cancelling, your membership and access will continue until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again.

Any individual lessons or resources purchased separately will remain available according to the terms of that purchase.

A little every week makes a real difference

The students I recognised returning week after week last year were consistently among those who made the strongest progress. They did not leave everything until exam season. They built their understanding and confidence gradually.
