Forces 4: Forces and Motion

A focused, teacher-led GCSE Science lesson covering Newton’s three laws of motion, inertia, inertial mass, resultant force and acceleration, thinking distance, braking distance and stopping distance. Students will learn how forces affect motion and apply these ideas to everyday situations, including vehicle safety.

The lesson includes worked calculations using (F=ma), rearranging equations and exam-style questions. Students will also explore how speed, reaction time, road conditions and vehicle condition affect stopping distance, and how braking transfers energy and causes deceleration.

This is a single live online lesson for GCSE Science students studying AQA Higher Tier, suitable for both Combined Science and Triple/Separate Physics.

The lesson is taught live on Zoom Webinar. Cameras and microphones are off, so there's no pressure to be on screen, but students can use the chat throughout to answer questions, ask for help and get involved.

Your purchase includes:

    • One live, teacher-led GCSE Science lesson
    • Access to the lesson recording afterwards
    • Printable lesson notes and resources
Access through your mdLEARNING online library, so everything is kept together in one place

Can't make it live? That's absolutely fine. The recording and resources will be added to your library after the lesson so it can be watched back at a time that suits you.

This booking is for this individual lesson only. If you'd like access to every Year 11 live lesson plus all previous Year 11 recordings from this academic year, take a look at the Year 11 Membership.
